Startup entrepreneur Zach Supalla is visiting Taiwan on invitation from the National Development Council (NDC). Zach Supalla is the founder and CEO of Particle, an Internet of Things (IOT) startup that is said to be one of the top ten most innovative companies of 2015 by American business magazine Fast Company.
The NDC said Supalla is visiting Taiwan to share his startup experience, and help Taiwan create innovative value in IoT technology applications and cross-industry integration.
Supalla said the solutions provided by his company Particle have been adopted by many Fortune 500 businesses to help them build prototypes fast. He said Taiwan is strong in manufacturing hardware, such as smart phones and computers, but the hardware industry is growing slow, while the IoT is taking off. He said Taiwan could play a better role in the IoT industry.
Supalla suggested that the government invest more to enable good ideas to come true. He said enterprises could work more closely with startups to penetrate the IoT market.
