Shares in Taiwan closed lower Thursday, amid lingering concerns over further global financial volatility at a time of a slowing Chinese economy.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed down 35.11 points, or 0.46 percent, at the day's low of 7,664.01.
