Taiwan’s gas and diesel prices are set to fall to a record 13-year low. The new prices will go into effect at midnight on Sunday, moving into Monday morning.
The state-run oil company, CPC Corporation, Taiwan, has announced that prices will decrease by NT$0.1 per liter for gas and NT$0.4 for diesel (between US$0.003 and US$0.01).
CPC says the decrease in Taiwan’s floating gas and diesel prices was triggered by a decrease in international crude oil prices. A recent surge in global supply drove those prices to a 12-year low.
The new prices per liter will be: for super diesel, NT$15.5; for 92 octane unleaded, NT$18.3; for 95 octane unleaded, NT$19.8; and for 98 octane unleaded, NT$21.8 per liter.
