A 3.8 magnitude earthquake shook Tainan early on Wednesday morning, rattling nerves as rescue workers continued the search for survivors.
It was one of several smaller quakes to hit the Tainan area after the deadly 6.4 quake which rocked southern Taiwan on Saturday. There were no immediate reports of damage following the tremor on Wednesday.
According to the latest data from the Central Weather Bureau, Wednesday morning’s earthquake was followed by a series of three other small-scale quakes across Taiwan’s southern counties. The largest was a 3.9 temblor that struck near Chiayi City at around 2pm Taiwan Time.
