Shares in Taiwan trended higher on Monday as trading resumed after a nine-day Lunar New Year holiday, bucking the global downward trend during the market's week-long break.
Taiwan shares closed flat Monday. The TAIEX rose 0.04% or 3.51 points at 8,066.51.
