A vintage car festival will take place in Hsinchu County on February 27. The car of the late former president Chiang Ching-kuo’s will be on display alongside other classic cars.
Organizer of the festival sayㄋ the event will coincide with the local lantern festival. Fans of classic cars will be able to take rides in several of the vintage cars.
The car of former president Chiang Ching-kuo, Taiwan’s only existent eight-seat Mercedes, will be a highlight of the exhibition. The organizer says the 1974 car is well-preserved and functional.
Hsinchu County’s culture bureau says that 200 vintage cars will be at the opening of the event. Some cars will also participate in a night time parade.
