Shares in Taiwan closed higher Tuesday after rising for six consecutive trading days, appearing relatively strong among Asian stocks that were in a state of correction.
The weighted index of the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed up 7.96 points, or 0.1 percent, at 8,334.64.
