The financial ministry said Taiwan’s products are being affected by China and South Korea dumping zinc alloy and galvanized steel products in Taiwan. It also said carbon steel plates from Brazil, Indonesia, Ukraine, India, China and South Korea are probably being dumped as well.
Trade official Juan Chuan-ho said the government will study the effects of this dumping on Taiwan’s products. He said they would look into the change in quantity of imports and the impact, as well as import prices and the impact on the industry. The study should be out in April.
