Vice Premier Woody Duh has called on the government to attend to a number issues raised by the Cabinet before the inauguration of Taiwan’s next president in May.
The Democratic Progressive Party, winner of January’s general election, is focusing on legislation governing presidential transitions.
But Duh said that the party has not yet addressed a number of time- sensitive issues, including issues unrelated to the transition. He said these include appointing representatives to this year’s World Health Assembly, which will take place just three days after the presidential inauguration.
Duh said he hopes that these issues will be resolved quickly.
