Shares in Taiwan extended their gains on Tuesday as investors were encouraged by long position futures contracts built up by foreign investors and put money into the spot market.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed up 74.53 points, or 0.89 percent, at 8,485.69.
