A Taiwanese athlete, Sung Ching-yang, has won a silver medal at the World University Speed Skating Championships.
The athlete from Taiwan’s Paiwan tribe snatched the award in the men’s 500-meter category on Monday in Venice, Italy.
Sung received a bronze medal in the same category at the Universiade held in Trentino, Italy in 2013. He also won two golds in speed roller skating at the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou, China.
Sung said he is gearing up for next year’s Asian Winter Games in Japan, the Winter Universiade in Kazakhstan, and the Summer Universiade in Taipei.
