The Investment Coordination Board of Indonesia says that Taiwanese corporations will invest US $3 billion in Indonesia’s shipbuilding, steel, and petrochemical industries.
According to the head of the investment board, Franky Sibarani, 177 Taiwanese investors expressed interest in Indonesian industries during the 2016 Taiwan Global Investment Forum. He said that Taiwan has invested a total of US $1.6 billion dollars in Indonesia over the past five years.
Sibarani said the investment board will implement measures to make it easier for Taiwanese businesses to invest in the country.
