Foreign ministry official Hsu Peiyung says Taiwan will attend the World Health Assembly (WHA) as an observer, as it has for the past seven years. He was speaking at a press conference Thursday, referring to the assembly set to take place in Geneva from May 23-28.
Hsu said that all WHO members have been notified of the assembly. He said the WHO will now inform related organizations of the United Nations and NGOs, before inviting observers.
Hsu said the foreign ministry hopes Taiwan will continue to attend the WHA in the future.
