President Ma Ying-jeou and President-elect Tsai Ing-wen will meet on Wednesday to exchange views on national affairs. That’s the word from Presidential Office Secretary-General Tseng Yung-chuan and Secretary General of Tsai’s Democratic Progressive Party, Joseph Wu on Monday. It will be Ma and Tsai’s first meeting since Tsai won the presidential election in January.
Presidential Office Spokesperson Charles Chen gave details of the upcoming meeting.
“[President Ma and President-elect Tsai] will meet on Wednesday at 10am. They will each deliver a 3-5 minute opening statement before holding a closed door meeting. The total amount of time will take about one hour. After the meeting, the two secretary generals will each hold a press conference to give details about the meeting,” said Chen.
