A delegation from the European Parliament arrived in Taiwan on Wednesday.
According to the foreign ministry, the group has come to learn about the current state of cross-strait relations, Taiwan’s political and economic development, Taiwan’s petition system, and Taiwan-EU trade. The delegation is led by Vice-Chair of the Parliament’s Committee on Petitions Pal Csaky.
During its time in Taiwan, the delegation will meet with President Ma Ying-jeou and visit the Legislature, the economics ministry, the justice ministry, the Mainland Affairs Council, the agriculture ministry, and the EU’s trade and business offices in Taipei. The delegation will be in Taiwan until April 3.
