Premier Chang San-cheng and incoming Premier Lin Chuan are set to meet for the first time on Friday.
The Cabinet said the main purpose of the meeting will be to hear the views of the Democratic Progressive Party. Any issue can be brought up at the meeting and they will also discuss the transition of power.
In February, the incumbent Cabinet had already set out 35 issues to be covered at the meeting. They are divided into two categories, those that are already in progress and those that will be decided when the new government takes office. Officials said that Premier Chang hopes that the meeting with Lin will set up a model for future transitions of power.
