Government officials have handed over documents on keys issues to the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in preparation for the upcoming presidential transition. The officials transferred the documents to DPP representatives at a meeting Monday, the third meeting on the transition so far.
After the meeting, Cabinet spokesperson Sun Lih-chyun said that the documents cover 17 key issues. Sun said that these issues include Taiwan’s pension system, power supply, disease prevention, and flood control.
The Cabinet and the DPP’s team in charge of transition will hold three more forums. Topics will include the technological development budget, guidelines for preparing the 2017 budget, and a structural reinforcement plan for housing vulnerable to soil liquefaction.
