Shares in Taiwan closed slightly higher Thursday as buying in the bellwether electronics faded, with investors keeping a close eye on an earnings reporting season set to kick off later in the day.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed up 15.63 points, or 0.18 percent, at 8,667.71.
