President Ma Ying-jeou has spoken about equal distribution of resources to schools in remote areas and raising students’ global awareness. Ma was speaking Friday at the opening ceremony of an education exhibition.
The education ministry and over 100 schools have jointly organized the “DREAM Hi” exhibition. The event focuses on exploring the future of education in remote areas, fostering creativity, raising global awareness, and improving physical education.
At the exhibition, many schools showcased the results of their latest programs. An elementary school from Yunlin County showcased its agricultural program, in which students make hand care products out tree extracts. Meanwhile, an elementary school in New Taipei City showcased a group game designed to teach students how to behave during fire drills.
