Shares in Taiwan closed lower, below the 8,700 point-mark Tuesday, led by Apple-concept stocks, as smartphone supply chains in Japan were disrupted by a series of earthquakes there last week.
Taiwan shares closed down 32.29 points, or 0.37 percent, at 8,633.72 Tuesday on turnover of NT$80.34 billion (US$2.49 billion).
