The health ministry says that Taiwan is still waiting for an invitation to attend the 2016 World Health Assembly (WHA).
Incoming Health Minister Lin Tzou-yien is scheduled to head to Geneva to attend the annual assembly, which Taiwan has attended as an observer for the past seven years. Deputy Health and Welfare Minister Lee Yue-chune said Wednesday that, in the past, Taiwan has received the invitation as late as May. She said the new Minister is ready to attend as soon as he receives the invitation.
