There’s good news for travelers who are looking to bring their bicycles on Taiwanese trains: the local rail authority has increased the size limit for carry-on baggage.
Originally, travelers on regular-speed trains were only allowed to bring articles with a total length and width adding up to 200 cm. That’s now been increased to 220 cm to accommodate for people with bicycles. That means that the size limit for carry-ons is the same for both regular trains and the nation’s high speed railways.
Travelers should be aware, though, that all carry-ons are still limited to less than 150 cm in length, while the weight limit is still 40 kg.
