Incoming Premier Lin Chuan held a policy meeting on Tuesday to discuss the incoming Cabinet’s five major policies.
Incoming Cabinet spokesperson Tung Chen-yuan said officials and scholars reported on the five major policy directions: Long-term care, pension reform, housing, food safety, and safety.
Incoming justice minister Chiu Tai-sun reported on transitional justice and judicial reform, while incoming head of the Cabinet’s personnel office Jay Shih reported on government efficiency.
Lin will also hold a two-day consensus camp over the weekend to discuss policy principles and inter-agency coordination. Tung said US pork imports is not listed on the camp’s agenda.
