Shares in Taiwan edged lower for the eighth consecutive session on Monday despite gains on American stock markets on Friday, dragged down by foreign institutional investors' continued pullout from the market.
Taiwan shares closed down 14.60 points, or 0.18 percent, at 8,131.83 on Monday
