Four people are still missing following a deadly bus accident in the southeast Chinese province of Fujian. Three are confirmed dead after the bus, carrying 24 Taiwanese tourists plus their driver and guide, plunged into a river in rainy weather.
Another 17 people were injured in the accident, six of whom have already returned to Taiwan.
This is the deadliest accident involving Taiwanese tourists in China in the last 10 years.
Tourism officials in Taiwan say that Chinese officials have bumped up searches for the missing passengers. As for the cause of the crash, there have been reports that the coach was relatively old. However, officials say that they cannot confirm the cause until investigators release an official report on the incident.
