The defense ministry said on Tuesday that the annual Han Kuang military exercises will take place in September. That’s a change from its usual schedule in June or July.
Military exercises will also include live-fire exercises, mock war training, and missile-firing. Defense ministry official Hsu Jian-san explains:
"There will be Han Kuang cyber exercises in May while the military exercises with live ammunition will take place in September. These exercises are designed to upgrade Taiwan’s defensive capabilities," said Hsu.
The drills will also include air-to-air, air-to-land, land-to-air, submarine-to-submarine, and sea-to-land missile firing. The ministry said they would reveal the details at a later date
