Taiwan has won 23 golds, 31 silvers and 8 special awards at the just-concluded INPEX invention show in the American city of Pittsburg.
INPEX is short for the Invention and New Product Exposition. It is the largest invention show in the United States and one of the world’s three biggest trade shows.
The three-day annual event which wrapped up on June 9 received nearly 700 entries from 22 countries. The Taiwan team sent 74 entries created by the business sector, schools, and individuals.
The invention show is seen as a gateway to entering the American market for Taiwanese inventors and the business sector.
President Tsai Ing-wen has sent a congratulatory message to the team from Taiwan.
