President Tsai Ing-wen has invited Premier Lin Chuan and other Cabinet ministers to exchange views on major policies during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday.
Presidential Office Spokesperson Alex Huang said Friday that the meeting was informal and did not involve decisions on any major issues.
“Today the president, Premier Lin and other government officials took some time to meet at the president’s house in Yonghe and exchange views on various major policies introduced during the presidential campaign," said Huang.
"[Those policies] are related to housing, energy, economic development, new agriculture and other infrastructure projects."
Huang said the presidential office will not make details public as the meeting was simply aimed at exchanging views and learning more about government policies.
