President Tsai Ing-wen is set to visit Panama and Paraguay in late June. The Presidential Office confirmed the news Monday.
It will be Tsai’s first overseas trip to the two allied nations since she took office on May 20. The 9-day trip will last from June 24 to July 2.
The president will make transit stops in Miami and Los Angeles.
According to the Cabinet-level Overseas Community Affairs Council (OCAC), there will be four banquets for the president and the overseas Taiwanese communities.
