Shares in Taiwan pulled back Thursday amid cautious sentiment as the United Kingdom prepared to hold a referendum to decide whether it will stay in the European Union.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed down 39.57 points, or 0.45 percent, at 8,676.68.
