Tsai also met with former Spanish King Juan Carlos I, Ecuadorian Vice President Jorge Glas, Paraguayan President Horacio Cartes, as well as dignitaries from other countries.

Presidential Office Spokesman Alex Huang spoke on Monday about Tsai’s interaction with Argentina’s Vice President Gabriela Michetti.

“The vice president thanked Taiwan’s representative office in Argentina, with which she has had many positive interactions. The representative office has helped her foundation, in particular by sponsoring her educational program. She was very happy to meet with President Tsai," said Huang.
