The government has hosted a memorial ceremony for the victims of last week’s bus fire.
On July 19, a bus en route to Taoyuan International Airport caught fire on the highway. 24 Chinese tourists were on board, along with their Taiwanese tour guide and driver. There were no survivors. Families of the victims have traveled to Taipei to give DNA samples to help forensics specialists identify the deceased.
The government blocked off the highway near the accident site for a memorial ceremony on Monday. The cause of the bus fire is still unknown.
