Taiwan’s annual Han Kuang joint military exercises will get underway on August 22. The Central News Agency reported that President Tsai Ing-wen will oversee the drills on August 25. It will be Tsai’s first time to oversee combined military exercises since she took office in May.
This year is the 32nd edition of the Han Kuang exercises, which bring together members of the country’s three main service branches for joint drills.
The Ministry of National Defense said it would announce more details about this year’s exercises in the coming week.
