Shares in Taiwan moved lower Thursday as investors took cues from a drop on Wall Street to cut their holdings in local equities but the weighted index managed to close above the 9,000 point mark.
The weighted index on the Taiwan Stock Exchange closed down 67.70 points, or 0.75 percent, at 9,001.15.
