A new Cabinet committee on cultural affairs has held its first meeting. The meeting was led by Premier Lin Chuan, who is also the committee’s convener.
The committee’s goals include promoting the government’s cultural policies and strengthening communication on cultural affairs between government ministries. The committee also aims to bring together people working in culture and the arts and the officials that implement the government’s cultural policy.
Speaking at the committee’s first meeting on Wednesday, Premier Lin Chuan said that he hopes the committee will promote the development of culture and the arts in Taiwan.
