Taiwan’s Southbound Policy the right way to go: Indonesian envoy
Indonesian presidential envoy Ang Tjeon Ming

Indonesian presidential envoy Ang Tjeon Ming has voiced his support for Taiwan’s Southbound Policy. The policy is aimed at strengthening Taiwan’s ties with Southeast Asia and India. Ang was speaking during an interview with Taiwan’s Central News Agency on Thursday.

Ang said that it would be reasonable for Taiwan, with its relatively high wages, to cooperate with Indonesia, which he said can provide low-cost labor. He said that Taiwan and Indonesia can also strengthen cooperation in the fisheries, manufacturing, technology and tourism.

Ang said that Taiwanese enterprises can consider investing in Indonesia in six areas, including finance and medical and health services.
