Taiwan’s Cabinet announced on Sunday that ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) legislator Hsu Kuo-yung will replace Tung Chen-yuan as Cabinet spokesman Oct. 1.
The Presidential Office said that Tung will take on a position as an advisor at the National Security Bureau.
The Presidential Office said that President Tsai Ing-wen had invited Tung, a former deputy minister of the Mainland Affairs Council, to serve at the NSB in order to make good use of his experience in cross-strait relations and economic research.
