Taiwan’s representative to Mexico, Carlos Liao, held a basketball tournament over the weekend to celebrate the upcoming ROC National Day.
The event was held on Sunday morning at the YMCA Sur in Mexico City. It was attended by around 100 people, including diplomatic staff and their families as well as members of a newly formed expat association.
The tournament got underway at 8.30 in the morning local time and finished at 12.30. Thirteen teams took part in a lively and convivial atmosphere.
The Association of Taiwanese in Mexico was formed in July. In addition to the basketball competition, the association also held a golf tournament last Friday.
