The foreign minister of Burkina Faso, Alpha Barry, will travel to Taiwan to join the country’s National Day celebrations on October 10. It will be Barry’s first visit to Taiwan.

During his two day visit, Barry will meet President Tsai Ing-wen and will attend a banquet in his honor hosted by Foreign Minister David Lee. Barry will also attend a reception organized by the foreign ministry and events related to the National Day. He will give an interview to Radio Taiwan International and visit local construction companies to boost exchanges between the two countries.

In related news, Swaziland — another of Taiwan’s diplomatic allies in Africa — will be represented at the National Day celebration by its Minister of Labor and Social Security, Winnie Magagula.
