Nearly half of German businesses in Taiwan say they are increasingly optimistic about Taiwan's economic recovery. That’s according to a survey released by the German Trade Office Taipei.

The survey covered 248 German companies in Taiwan; it found that 47% of the companies expect an improvement in Taiwan’s economy this year. That’s as compared with 35% last year and 24% in 2012.

The outlook for the German companies themselves is also positive, with 66% expecting to take in increasing revenues this year, and 40% an increase in profits.
