Shares in Taiwan extended their gains Tuesday to hit a high of more than six years as the electronics sector attracted buying in the wake of a rising tech-heavy NASDAQ index overnight.
Taiwan shares closed up 0.52% higher. The TAIEX rose 48.85 points, to 9,441.92.
