A Taiwanese dance group made up of typhoon survivors is scheduled to perform in two Japanese towns that were destroyed in the Tohoku earthquake and tsunami of 2011.
The dancers are all victims of Typhoon Morakot, which devastated parts of southern Taiwan in 2009.
With the government’s help, the survivors have gotten back on their feet and now they want to share their love through the medium of dance. The Taiwanese dancers said they want to comfort the Japanese survivors with their own stories and experiences.
The performances in the towns of Iwate-ken and Yamada-machi will take place later this month.
