Taiwanese pitcher Chen Wei-yin grabbed a record 13th win in a Major League Baseball (MLB) season on Wednesday. The Baltimore Orioles completed a three-game sweep over the Chicago White Sox.
29-year-old Chen, a leftie, threw 7 1/3 innings to help Baltimore win the game 4-3.
Chen's 13th win followed his previous record of 12 wins in an MLB season which he set in his first year in the MLB in 2012. That record ties Chen with South Korea’s leftie Ryu Hyun Jin as Asia’s number 1 pitchers.
