Program Introduction
Transcending the paradigm of life: the Keating monologues
Professor Keating had still a couple of books he planned to write, but was unsure if the clock of nature would bestow him favorable time. He asked me to tape his rambles on threads of thoughts he has been jotting down. In just a few weeks, he is returning to the States to join his grand-children for their school graduation. Jerome spent a fine morning eloquently speaking into my mobile studio condenser, weaving a lengthy monologue of retrospections, reflections and expansions of his paradigmatic ideas and earnest mind-gains. I ended up spooling his words and thoughts by the beautiful playing of John Scofield, the opening track from “Swallow Tales.” Like a sparrow that once flew across the universe of oneness, Keating left us a rainbow of meditation, demonstrating that we should be free to become not just a life within the global village, but a dutiful citizen of the galaxy. It is going to be a multi-sharing sporadically posted.
